Techniques:

  • Sit with legs stretched out in front
  • Bend the left knee and place the left sole against the right inner thigh
  • Left heel should not touch the perineum
  • Bend the right knee
  • Place the right foot in the gap between the left thigh and the left calf
  • Right heel should be close to the pubis
  • Pull the left foot into the space between the right calf and thigh
  • Adjust the position to sit comfortably
  • Place palms on the knees in the chin or gyan mudra (hand gesture)

Contra-indications:

  • Sciatica
  • Sacral injury
