Nasal Cleansing With Water

Neti
Neti means the process that cleanses the nostrils.
There are two types of Neti:
- Jala neti
- Sutra Neti
Jala Neti:
Jala means water and neti means cleansing process.
Preparations:
- Boil clean water and keep it aside until it becomes lukewarm
- Add salt according to the type of water
- Wash the neti pot properly and pour the prepared salt water into the neti pot
Benefits:
- Helps to cure dust allergies
- Overcomes sneezing
- Makes respiration easier
- Cleanses the air filled cavity
- Helps to clear sinus problems
- Cleanses the nasal passage
- Prevents and relieves various nasal infections and disorders

Sutra Neti:
Sutra means thread and neti means cleansing process
Preparations:
- Boil water and place the sutra neti thread in the vessel with the boiling water
- Sterilize the thread before and after practice
Benefits:
- Helps to overcome disorders of the ears, eyes and throat
- Conquers kapha related disorders
- Improves vision
- Helps to treat sinusitis
- Relieves symptoms of common cold
- Treats nasal sternum deviation
- Makes respiration easier
