The new captivates us, as it is comfort and pleasure combined.
In modern society, we are preoccupied with the quest for the new as a diversion from our inner conflicts and complexes.
There may be demanding conditions around us and we must learn to adapt, not only outwardly, but inwardly as well.
In addition, there may be times when we are trying to become something that we are not, and as a result an unconscious struggle develops.
We have evolved the ability of higher thought and a capacity for feelings more than any other living being.
Traditional yoga contains both psychosomatic and somatopsychic practices that can harmonize the mind and body in a way that no other medical system can.
Humans can encounter imbalance in the mind and body because of pursuing the new. Throughout the centuries, humans have always desired a new life, new objects, new experiences and new memories. However in the present day we are facing a global financial crisis. Due to this threat, people are losing their jobs and struggling to make ends meet. Their security and happiness are at risk. More than ever, the new world is facing complex problems.
People are starting to leave their jobs, properties, prestige and power. Now, they are in need of relaxation, rejuvenation and recreation.
Is there any miracle that can overcome stress and inner conflicts?
Is there any medicine that can build physical and mental strength?
Is there any medical approach that can establish moral values?
Only yoga can meet these standards and even go beyond.
Due to the modern lifestyle, we are deviating from our nature. In fact, our true self is beyond all material things, expectations, pain and happiness.
Following nature and our natural circadian rhythm should be the guiding principle for our lifestyle. In the present day, our eating and sleeping habits and sexual urges are against nature.
The result is STRESS.
The latest research surveys state that ninety-four per cent of all diseases are stress-born.
Atherosclerosis, cerebro-vascular stroke, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, peptic ulcer, auto-immune disease, psoriasis, thyroid disorders, migraine/tension headaches, menstrual disorders, premature ejaculation, asthma, depression, anxiety neurosis, bipolar disorders and drug addictions are just a few examples of stress-related disorders.
