The Half Moon Pose
'Ardha' means half and 'chandra' means moon, hence the name can be translated as the half moon pose. In this posture the spine is bent backwards in such a way that the whole body takes the shape of a half moon. This is a balancing position.
Techniques:
- Stand straight with the arms by the side of the body
- Bring the left foot forward, about a meter in front of the right foot
- Touch the right knee on the floor
- Balance the body on the left foot, right knee and right toes
