It is a contagious disease caused by a certain type of bacteria. The disease derives its name from the typical sound while breathing. Since it is a contagious disease, the disease can spread via the adults and adolescents. However, if a person is vaccinated, he will suffer with the milder symptoms like extended cough.

Causes


Since it is a contagious disease, whooping cough is generally transmitted from one to another and so treatment whooping cough seeks to address this cause. Generally, the adolescents and adults transmit it to children. When a person comes in contact with the discharges of the affected person, they are infected with the disease. The difficulty with the disease is that the symptoms at the catarrhal stage are non-specific. Thus it is very difficult to diagnose the disease at that stage and treatment whooping cough is thus a major problem if not diagnosed early.

  • Cleansing techniques like Sutra Neti (Nasal cleansing with thread), Jala Neti (nasal cleansing with water), Vaman Dhauti (Regurgitative cleansing), pranayamas like Nadi Shodhana Pranayama (Psychic Network Purification), Kapalbahati Pranayama (Frontal Brain cleansing breath) , Bhramari Pranayama (Humming Bee Breathing) etc. can be helpful.
  • Shavasana (corpse pose) can be effective as well.

  • A mixture of aloe vera juice and honey is very effective to curb whooping cough and is great as treatment whooping cough.
  • The leaves of Alfalfa can cure whooping cough
  • If you are suffering from a dry and persistent cough, comfrey tea will be of good help for you. However, it must not be taken for a long period and it is essential for treatment whooping cough.
  • Almond oil blended with the juice of white onion and ginger can be a good remedy for whooping cough.
  • Roaster calamus can be powdered and mixed with honey to provide relief for the patients of the whooping cough.
  • The powder of the Licorice Root mixed with honey is also effective to cure the whooping cough. However, it should not be used by patients who have high blood pressure.
  • Castor oil mixed with the cow milk can be taken to cure whooping cough fast.
  • Raw onion juice and honey can be added in equal proportion to make a syrup hat is very effective for treatment whooping cough.
