Acne

PrintPrint

Acne is a skin disorder in which reddish inflamed spots appear on the surface of the skin. A blackhead is often a precursor to acne. Blackhead occur when sebum, excessive body oil and toxins are expelled from the skin. A whitehead is also associated with acne. A whitehead gets inflamed when the oil and bacteria that collect on the skin are retained by it.

The small hair follicles on the skin surface are linked to the sebaceous gland. The excess sebum production, along with the skin’s dead cells, obstructs the hair follicles and leads to the formation of acne. Teenagers often develop acne due to stress. It often occurs due to hormonal changes.
