Panchkarma

"Panchakarma" is an important five procedures treatment therapy of Ayurveda. It usually includes emesis, purgation, enema, blood-letting and nasal therapy according to the requirement of the patient. The basic objective of this therapy is purification of the body prior to actual treatment.

Before panchakarma, two pre-panchakarma processes, namely Oleation or oil therapy and Sudation Therapy, are performed. In oleation, the patient is massaged all over the body for a specified period of time using necessary oily preparations. After oleation therapy, sudation therapy is performed. The aim of sudation therapy is to excrete toxins from the body in the form of sweat. Through these processes cells of the body are renewed and respond better to medical treatment.

So by performing panchkarma, a patient is treated in an effective way. Panchakarma responds well in cases of arthritis, skin disorders, paralysis etc.
