Clinical Ayurveda

Relief from disease and discomfort is not the ultimate goal of Ayurveda. The real objective is rejuvenation and bringing patient to normalcy and a better quality of life with minimum susceptibility of contacting disease and also achieving immunity from new diseases.

Ayurveda describes a fourfold structure for success in treatment: good physician, good medicine, good nursing attendant and good patient.

The procedures taken for "balancing the doshas" come under clinical Ayurveda. They include diet, sleep and celibacy, behavior, panchkarma, rasayan, vajikaran, daily routine and seasonal regimen, medicines, and yoga.

"Prevention is better than cure" is the underlying principle of Ayurveda. Emphasis is laid more on cause rather than on symptoms of the disease. Ayurveda lays more emphasis on individual-specific treatment rather than on general symptoms.

Ayurveda says vitiation of doshas is the root cause of a disease. Know more about your health through FREE Dosha Analysis.
