Homeopathy is one of the most popular streams of alternative medicine. Many celebrities, including Queen Elizabeth II and Mahatma Gandhi, have been ardent followers. Invented about 200 years ago by Samuel Hahnemann, homeopathy is believed to effectively cure various complex ailments with minimal side-effects. Basic homeopathic principles hold that any disease can be treated with medicines that can replicate the symptoms of the particular illness being treated. Homeopathy takes into account one’s physical and psychological health before prescribing medicines for illnesses.
